Slide Technique. Sight Reading. Bordogni. Kopprasch.

Do any of these make your head spin a little—no matter how many times
you tell yourself you should have them figured out by now?

You’re a hard-working, passionate student and you’re balancing school, band, and practice. Do you ever just need someone to help you figure out how to learn it all?

You’re in the right spot!

Sean Reynolds, bass trombone

I’m Sean Reynolds (he/him), a professional bass trombonist, educator, and doctoral musician, and I help young trombone and euphonium players discover their unique musical voice. My teaching focuses on giving students the technical tools, musical confidence, and mindset they need to reach their individual goals—while keeping lessons engaging, supportive, and fun.

In my studio, lessons are fully customized to your learning style—not a one-size-fits-all approach pulled from an old method book. Whether you’re preparing for District or All-State auditions, building foundational skills, or learning to perform with confidence, my students grow into independent musicians who understand the process and enjoy the journey. Many have gone on to earn superior ratings, place in top ensembles, and become leaders in their school programs.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me practicing, performing with groups like the Charlotte Trombone Collective, photographing portraits around Charlotte, or hiking. I’m passionate about music, community, and helping young brass players feel seen, supported, and capable of their very best.
